Six Saturdays from April through September will be filled with
stars as Cinematique of Daytona presents a series of free outdoor
films. Each movie will be presented at dusk on the local fine-arts
cinema society's huge inflatable screen and theatrical sound
system at City Island Park in Daytona Beach. The offerings are
geared toward a wide variety of audiences, and include some movies
that already have been hits at previous area screenings.
Concessions will sell a variety of snacks and beverages, including
a full bar, with some downtown Daytona Beach restaurants offering
picnic and dinner packages. Scheduled are: April 18: "The
First of May''; May 16: "The Fly Boys''; June
20: "The Knife''; July 18: "Butch Cassidy and the
Sundance Kid''; August 22: "The Princess Bride';
and, September 19: "Singing in the Rain''. Rain dates
also have been established, if needed. Visit www.cinematique.org or call the
movie line at 386-252-3778.
