CANCELLATION POLICY AS RELATED TO USE OF THIS SYSTEM

Cancellations must be made directly between the client and the hotel of choice. The DBACVB does not handle any tasks related to room cancellation and clients are subject to the hotel’s individual cancellation policies and procedures.

The critical part of any online reservation system is the updating of all available inventory data. The Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is not responsible for the updating, or removal of, inventory from the online booking system. Additionally the DBACVB is not responsible for setting the rate of any hotel room inventory displayed. All costs for rooms are done directly by the host property.

All questions related to room occupancy and additional amenities should be directed to the hotel of your selection.

The Daytona Beach Area CVB works under the direction of the Halifax Area Advertising Authority (HAAA), which is an 11-member board appointed by members of the Volusia County Council. The CVB maintains a staff of approximately 22 full time marketing and administration professionals, which acts in accordance with initiatives outlined by HAAA.
A word about making reservations...

The innkeepers of the Daytona Beach area want you to enjoy the vacation of a lifetime while you are here at the world's most famous beach. They work year-round to ensure that everything is in place for your safety, comfort and convenience. They also want to offer information that may be helpful as you plan your vacation.

Special events...
Daytona Beach is fortunate to host many special events during the year. Annual events include Speed Weeks, Bike Week, Biketoberfest, Spring Break, Black College Reunion and the Daytona Turkey Run Car Show and Swap Meet. Other festivals, conventions and celebrations are scheduled at various times during the year. You may want to schedule your vacation during one of these exciting events or you may prefer to schedule your visit during a non-event period. Either way, you can get more information about event times and activities by checking the calendar of events. If you have a special request, send us an e-mail or give us a call at 1.800.854.1234 (within North America) or 386.255.0415.

Why room rates vary...
As in all resort destinations, room rates vary depending on the time of year. During certain special events and peak visitor seasons, rates increase and certain requirements apply. During periods of low demand for rooms, rates are lower and discounts may be offered. Your innkeeper or travel agent can provide information about rates for events and peak season, or special discounts and incentives during other times.

Special requirements...
An advance deposit or credit card guarantee is often required to confirm your reservation. If you are planning to attend one of the area's major special events, your hotel may also require multiple-night minimum stay as well as prepayment in full. Please check with your hotel for payment and cancellation policies.

When checking into a hotel, you may be asked to secure your room with a major credit card before credit privileges (telephone, restaurant, lounge, mini-bar, etc.) will be extended. Some hotels may accept a cash deposit in lieu of a credit card to extend credit services to hotel guests.
