Our beach has all you’ve been i agining and more
fishing piers can rig you up for
hourly or all-day fishing. In no
time, you’ll be feeling the tug of
mackerel, ladyfish and pompano on
the end of your line. Or, join others
on a party fishing boat or
deep-sea charter, with lots of
choices at marinas in Ponce Inlet
andWilbur-by-the-Sea. That’s
also where many of the dive boats
dock, for offshore scuba and
snorkeling expeditions to
man-made reefs and shipwrecks.
Local dive shops have rentals and
arrange trips.
This is Florida’s original surf
town, and both novice and veteran
surfers can find everything they
need, including lessons, at local surf
shops. The best waves: near the
Ponce de Leon Inlet, andwherever
you see surfers out on the water
waiting for their next ride. Stand-up
paddleboarding, windsurfing and
ocean kayaking are also popular, just
beyond the breakers.
